Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel had its positives and negatives. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Iowa City, but the room lacked a view and was warm and stuffy, triggering my allergies. The service varied from welcoming and nice to a bit rude at times. Dining options were limited, forcing me to venture out in freezing temperatures, although the food quality was good.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were unique - with an iron but no ironing board and a fridge but no microwave. While far from the elevators, my room was surprisingly quiet. However, the bathroom was tight and small. The service was exceptional, with the staff being very nice and making check-in and check-out super fast and easy. The location was convenient, within walking distance of downtown restaurants. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues noticed around the area. The dining options were decent, but I had to venture out in sub-zero temperatures due to limited facilities nearby.
My stay was quite unique as I didn't have a room for the first three days, which was definitely inconvenient. However, the room I eventually got was one-of-a-kind, something I've never experienced in a hotel before. It was very comfortable with a big TV and a comfy bed, although it lacked a refrigerator or microwave.
